(Dr. Lessard voice) When you’re a physician, you’ve gone to school for… for me it was 12 years after high school, and you have a very large amount of student loans, and you’re also ready to buy a house and start a family, so all of these things kind of came to a head at the same time.
(Kyle Anderson voice) Finances is an area I have no real expertise in, so the whole process was very overwhelming – even the basics.
(Dr. Lessard) Whenever it comes to making big decisions like a mortgage or retirement, we always sit down together.
(Kyle Anderson) Now that we’re starting a family and we have children and their futures to worry about, that’s where Alerus came in and made us feel comfortable. Alerus has really helped communicate to us very clearly our picture. With Cathy (last name?), she’s always been one step ahead of us with our financial interests. They’ve really helped us achieve our goals by especially making everything, our whole financial situation, easy to digest and very clear.
(Dr. Lessard) When you think wellness, there’s a lot of different avenues, eating right, exercising and live a healthy example for our kids. It’s the same with our finances. One or two mornings a week, I log on and look at our Alerus accounts to see where we’re at with everything and at least weekly look at our budget and our balance and assess our goals. It’s something that is always on that wellness to-do list for me at home.
(Kyle Anderson) It’s a peace of mind to know that we are working with Alerus and feeling that our financial future is in a good place thanks to how they’ve worked with us.
(Dr. Lessard) We look forward to continuing to make those strides with Alerus helping us and getting towards our goals. (music fades)
