As a senior financial advisor, Sandy Korbel utilizes her extensive expertise in wealth management to provide expert guidance to clients in the areas of investments, estates, retirement, and financial planning.
Sandy joined Alerus in 1993, where she has continuously built upon a foundation in finance and trust and estate administration to specialize in helping high net worth clients achieve their goals through strategic cash flow planning, complex investment strategies, and comprehensive goal planning. A lifelong learner, she excels in combining her industry expertise with a genuine passion for providing high-quality service to help clients meet their unique needs. She readily collaborates with her clients’ accountants and attorneys to ensure they receive a seamless experience.
Sandy is a certified public accountant and a certified financial planner. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is a graduate of the American Banking Association Banking School. She is an active member of her community and contributes her time and expertise to various organizations. She is a past president and current member for the Fargo Rotary Club and past president and current board member for First Lutheran Church in Fargo. She also serves as a board member for the Red River Estate Planning Council and is a board liaison and trustee committee chair for the FM Area Foundation.
In her free time, Sandy enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and spending time at her family’s lake home. She lives in Fargo with her husband Brian. They have three children.
