As a retirement sales consultant, John Edwards specializes in partnering with retirement plan advisors to streamline their retirement plan practices and develop and provide appropriate plans for their clients. John joined Alerus in 2023 and serves advisors in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York City, Rhode Island, and Vermont. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary and has 15 years of retirement services experience. His expertise includes developing customized 401(k) plans, ERISA and non-ERISA 403(b) plans, 457(b) and 457 (f) plans, and cash balance plans.
John is an active member of his community and serves as a town councilor for Tiverton, Rhode Island. He lives in Tiverton with his wife Brittney and their three daughters and dog. In his free time, John enjoys playing golf, sailing, and cheering for the New England Patriots.
