As a business advisor, Jessica Jackson delivers comprehensive financial advice to business clients, specializing in retirement solutions including 401(k) plans, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), health and wellness programs, payroll, wealth management, insurance, and other services. Jessica is a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) with expertise in supporting defined contribution plans and defined benefit plans subject to regulatory requirements. In addition to providing her subject matter expertise, she works closely with experts across Alerus to ensure business clients have access to its full suite of diversified services to meet their financial objectives.
Jessica joined Alerus in 2019 and previously served as a senior financial guide, assisting clients in identifying their specific financial needs and providing comprehensive advice to help them achieve their financial wellness goals. She has more than 15 years of banking and financial industry experience, with emphasis in consumer and commercial lending and underwriting, risk management, and U.S. Small Business Administration and U.S. Department of Agriculture loan program management.
Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in child and family studies from Concordia College and a master’s degree in child development and family science from North Dakota State University. She is a graduate of the Dakota School of Banking and holds a certificate of completion in advanced credit analysis and business financing from the North Dakota Banker’s Association. She is a Junior Achievement volunteer, a director of the West Fargo Public Schools school board, and served five years as president of her local parent-teacher organization. Jessica lives in her native city of West Fargo with her husband, Seth, and their five children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, organizing, and trying new recipes.
