Doug Melby has over 15 years of experience in employer retirement plans, wealth management, and investment strategy. Doug is motivated by helping people achieve their financial goals and he values building professional relationships so people feel comfortable exploring their options.

Doug serves corporate and small business clients in both the Grand Forks and Fargo regions. His experience, knowledge, and skill help employers with their retirement, benefits, and banking needs.

Doug earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, where he studied political science and economics. He attended graduate school at UND studying public administration. Doug is Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) certificant and is a CFA Charter holder.

Active in his community, Doug has served on the board of the Hillsboro Medical Center and is a member of the KEM Shrine in Grand Forks. He is a past board member and chairman of the Traill County Economic Development Commission and has served on the Small Business and Labor Advisory Board of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank.

A North Dakota native, Doug now lives in Hillsboro with his wife, Beth, who owns a local advertising firm. In his free time he enjoys bicycling, CrossFit, and house projects.
