Deepak Chaulagai
Senior Equity Analyst
Deepak Chaulagai joined Alerus in 2015 as a senior equity analyst. He is responsible for stock research, selection, and assisting in management of equity investments for Alerus clients.
Mr. Chaulagai has 11 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining Alerus, Deepak was an equity analyst with Leuthold Management LLC in Minneapolis, where he was responsible for fundamental equity analysis and portfolio management for a contrarian value fund focused on long-term capital appreciation. Before joining Leuthold Management, he was a health care equity analyst for Dougherty & Company LLC in Minneapolis.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato and earned his MBA in Securities Analysis & Finance from the University of St. Thomas. He earned the Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2016.
Born in Nepal, Mr. Chaulagai has lived in Minnesota since 1998. He currently resides in Apple Valley, MN with his wife, daughter, and son.
