Before joining Alerus in May 2024, Chad spent 18 years at First Bank Elk River specializing in commercial lending and served as lead market president for 14 of those years. Prior to that, he spent 12 years working in commercial banking for financial institutions including Marquette Bank and Great Northern Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Iowa State University.
In his free time, Chad enjoys playing golf, running, hiking, and attending his children’s sports activities. He and his wife Beth live in St. Michael, Minnesota. They have three children.
