My Alerus Terms of Use Changes as of 6.15.22
Summary of major changes to the Terms of Use for My Alerus:
1. General Terms and Conditions Section 1 was updated to clarify:
- Changes to fees or specific terms of accounts are governed by the specific agreement governing that account.
- Alerus is not responsible for the errors or omissions of third party service providers or employers through which we receive or transmit information, or for impacts to services caused by cyber events.
2. Dashboard and Financial Fitness Section 2 was updated to include:
- You are licensing Alerus and third party service providers to use information you provide in order to provide services to you and that the owner of the information provided has agreed that the information may be used for that purpose.
- Third party service providers have the right to use, sell, reproduce, disclose aggregate, non-identifiable data complied through your use of the services.
- Recent updates to individual financial assessment and guidance software.
3. Access to Retirement Plan Account Information Section 3 was updated to clarify that acts of god which may impact customary processing timelines includes cyber events.
4. Retail Account Information Section 4 was updated to address:
- Use of the Retail Online Banking solution for consumer use and that consumer protection provisions are not applicable to linked business accounts.
- Responsibility regarding how to handle check images that you transmitted to Alerus after you have received confirmation from Alerus that we received the check image.
5. The Privacy Section 8 was updated to replace language with a link to our online privacy policy.
In addition to the changes noted above, we have also rearranged sections, clarified operating procedures, and removed names of specific third party service providers.
