Joshua Richter
Fixed Income Portfolio Manager
As portfolio manager, Joshua is responsible for managing, evaluation, and monitoring all fixed-income investment in our client portfolios, institutional portfolios, and common and collective funds. He primarily focuses on U.S. fixed income markets in addition to analyzing, recommending, and trading individual fixed income securities.
Mr. Richter joined Alerus more than 10 years ago and worked his way up from Mutual Fund Analyst to Investment Analyst to his current role today. “I like helping others and answering questions. These two characteristics continue to make my job enjoyable and rewarding, especially when working with customers and co-workers,” he states.
Mr. Richter graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Financial Management and earned an MBA at the University of St. Thomas in 2014. In 2006, he received the Newmie Achievement Award, an award given to employees who aspire higher every day and is the highest honor given to Alerus employees who have done an outstanding job throughout the year.
