Tony Hentz joins Alerus as commercial banker

Alerus is pleased to announce Tony Hentz has joined the company as a senior vice president and commercial banker based in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, he serves as a financial partner for commercial business clients, providing guidance and connections to Alerus specialists as needed for long-term, efficient, and complete financial services that help their businesses thrive.

Hentz brings 20 years of financial industry experience to his role, with expertise in business lending and deposit services, real estate financing, and equipment financing. Before joining Alerus, he served as a business relationship manager at First Interstate Bank from 2018 to 2025. Prior to that he served as a principal relationship manager at Wells Fargo Bank from 2005 to 2018. He holds a bachelor’s degree in financial counseling and planning from Purdue University.
