Scott Berg Joins Alerus as Southern Valley Business Banking Team Lead

Alerus is pleased to announce Scott Berg has joined the company as senior vice president and team lead for the business banking team in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Scott is a seasoned business banker with 20 years of financial industry experience and extensive expertise serving clients across various industries, including commercial and industrial, municipalities, agribusiness and professional services. He has spent his entire career in Fargo-Moorhead and has a deep understanding of the market.

Prior to joining Alerus, Scott served as a senior relationship manager and associate director at BMO Bank, focusing on commercial clients in the emerging middle market sector in the Dakotas, Minnesota, Illinois, and Montana. Before that, he served for nearly eight years as a commercial banking relationship manager at U.S. Bank, where he served clients with complex banking needs.

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from North Dakota State University. He is based in Alerus’ downtown Fargo office.
