Alerus Retirement and Benefits among Top 25 recordkeepers

Alerus Retirement and Benefits has been recognized among the Top 25 largest defined contribution recordkeepers in the U.S. and among the Top 10 pooled employer plan (PEP) providers, according to the latest annual recordkeeping survey from PlanSponsor magazine.

The survey analyzed recordkeeping data from 36 providers as of December 31, 2025, representing 97.4% of the 401(k) defined contribution plan market.

Alerus ranked No. 19 based on plan count, No. 23 based on assets by plan type, and No. 25 based on participants by asset size.

In the rapidly expanding pooled employer plan (PEP) market, Alerus continues to be a top performer, ranking among the Top 10 providers based on assets, participants, and adopting employers.
