Alerus is upgrading your digital banking experience with a new online banking platform and mobile app, beginning November 17, 2025. The new platform is easy to navigate and designed to make digital banking more convenient and user-friendly.
Online and mobile banking services will be temporarily unavailable beginning at 5 p.m. CT Friday, November 14, 2025, through Sunday, November 16 while accounts are transitioned to the new digital banking platform. Debit card access will not be affected. You can continue to make purchases and withdraw cash from ATMs as usual.
Digital banking services will resume on the new platform on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 8 a.m. CT. At that time, you can log into your account at alerus.com > My Alerus or through the new Alerus Banking app. See the “Logging In” section for details about how to log in.
Your account(s) will be transitioned to the new online banking platform on November 17, 2025. At that time, you will notice a new look and feel to online banking. You will choose a new menu option – My Alerus – to log in online. You will also need to download a new app – Alerus Banking. Your current app will no longer work.

Step 2: Log in using the same username and password you established after your initial log-in at alerus.com > My Alerus
To enable Face ID, click the Enable Face ID option at the bottom of the screen before logging in, and confirm your choice by clicking Enable Face ID after successfully entering your existing credentials.
Step 3: Choose “allow notifications” when prompted if you would like to receive push notifications related to your account. You can manage these notifications based on your preferences.
Step 4: Delete the Alerus formerly Home Federal app from your device. It is no longer needed.
Yes. The mobile app allows you to do a submit a mobile deposit by taking photos of the front and back of the check. Click Deposit Check in the bottom navigation bar or go to Menu, Transfers & Payments, and choose Deposit a Check to make a mobile deposit.
Yes. You will continue to have the ability to send payments from your mobile device.
No, the Alerus formerly Home Federal app will no longer be valid beginning November 17. Delete the app and download the new Alerus Banking app to conduct mobile banking.

In online banking, click Profile (located in the top panel on the home screen), and choose Alert Settings. On the mobile app, click Menu in the lower right corner of the screen, then select Profile and choose Alert Settings.
No. Previously scheduled recurring transfers to external accounts will be carried over to the new system and processed as normal.
No. Any internal transactions (e.g. recurring transfers to Alerus accounts, bill payments) previously scheduled will be carried over to the new system and processed as normal.
In online banking, click the Loan Payment button in the Payments tile on the home screen or select Transfers & Payments (top navigation bar), then select Loan Payment. In the mobile app, click the Loan Payment button on the home screen.

Yes! This upgrade provides access to Zelle® for person-to-person payments.

Yes! Click View All Accounts, then click the three dots located on the right side of the account that you would like to move. Select move account up or move account down to adjust the display order. You can also click and drag the account to your desired location by clicking the dots located to the left of the account.
Click View All Accounts, then click the star located on the left side of the account to add or remove it from your favorites. You can display up to six accounts as your favorite accounts on the home screen.
Your home screen allows a limited number of accounts to be displayed as favorites. Click View All Accounts, then click the star located on the left side of the account you want to show on the home screen.
