Grain Storage & Facility Rebuilder Programs

Supporting North Dakota producers impacted by June 2025 storms.

North Dakota farmers and ranchers were hit hard by severe derecho and tornado events of June 2025. To support recovery and rebuilding efforts, the Grain Storage & Facility Rebuilder Programs were created to provide timely, affordable financing to affected agricultural producers.

There are two programs available and producers may apply for one or both, depending on their needs. Download the 2025 Grain Storage & Facility Program Rebuilder Fact Sheet.

Applications will be accepted July 9 – December 31, 2025.

 

How to apply

Alerus is proud to partner with the Bank of North Dakota to offer these loan programs. To get started:

  • Contact your local Alerus ag lender to begin the application process.
  • Your lender will work with you to complete and submit the appropriate applications to the Bank of North Dakota.

What you should know

  • These loans are designed to meet short-term recovery needs with below-market interest rates.
  • At loan maturity, longer-term financing may be available through your lead lender in partnership with BND, based on market conditions.
